We show you how to quickly make competitors, industries, or consumers compete against one another in the social media bar chart race in our tooltip.

Data visualization is a wonderful thing: it not only helps to clearly convey frequently esoteric facts or connections, but it can also be a lot of fun – for example, when processes and developments are animated.

Fanpage Karma is a social media management tool developed in Germany. The variety of services includes a useful small add-on called Bar-Chart-Race, in addition to the basics like analytics and community administration. This not only allows you to assess specific social media accounts in terms of their performance and growth on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or YouTube, but it also allows you to pit rivals against one other in a race. To demonstrate this, you’ll see a remarkable animation with the bars competing. Only a sports commentator is missing to round out the experience.

For example, we looked at the performance of the Twitter accounts for the three most popular console manufacturers: Microsoft with the Xbox, Sony with the PlayStation, and Nintendo with the Wii.

Bar-Chart-Race is free to use, but users must register with Fanpage Karma using their Facebook account and agree to a data privacy agreement. New customers will be able to use the gold edition of Fanpage Karma for three months for free, after which it will revert to the free version. As a result, you don’t have to be concerned about falling into a cost trap.

You then browse to the bar chart race via More in the menu bar and may begin straight away. Consider who you want to enter the race, add the matching social media handles in the search mask, and then click Create to get the bar chart race you want. The animation may then be simply shared on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or by URL – or you can show the HTML code and embed it straight on your website.

By the way, you may customize the examination period, many profiles, and crucial figures in the race settings to your liking.

But watch out! The bar chart races have the potential to be addicting, and the site itself recommends pre-planned races. This includes the NHL, a North American ice hockey league, in which the Boston Bruins are now in the first place. Alternatively, you may enter the Forbes firms in the social media race.
